Top Camping Essentials

• Tent (F.A.K.C. recommends the Coleman Instant Tent, available at Carrefour)

• Camping chairs (go for the ‘Pimp Daddy’ option)

• Air mattress (Coleman brand is most reliable)

• Pump (ideally a rechargeable one or one that plugs into your car socket)

• Sleeping bag

• Pillow

• Flashlights (ideally a headlamp)

• Cooler (the larger the better, with wheels)

• Portable/foldable table

• Reusable plates, cups and cutlery

Other useful kit

• ​Toilet paper

• Sunscreen

• Insect repellent

• Hand sanitizer

• First-aid kit

• Tooth brush & toiletry bag

• Sunglasses

• Cap

• Tow rope (needed when you get stuck in the sand; we all do)

• Speaker with wifi (music is always a good idea)

Good to Have:

• mobile shower

• potty for smaller kids

• Gas cooker

• BBQ (small square Weber)

• Wood (you can never have too much)

• GoPro (for those epic action shots)

• Diving shoes (for wadi adventures)

• Walkie talkies 

Essentials for your Car

Before you begin any adventure, you will need to ensure that you buy the following basic equipment before going off road to keep in the car:

• Tyre Deflators

• 12v Tyre Inflator

• Sand Shovel

• 2 x Recovery shackles

• Recovery snatch strap

• Electrical rated fire extinguisher
